Loose Lay Vinyl Plank Flooring Reviews

  • I am a 57 year old woman, who had 35 year old carpeting which I hated! I bought 1700 sq ft of the Remarkable loose lay planks and over the course of 3 weeks I laid it all in my home. By myself. On various trips to home depot for supplies, I stopped and looked at ALL the vinyl plank that was available there and let me just say, there is NOTHING at the big box stores that compares to this!! A warning: this will not break or snap after a simple scoring of the tile. No way. This is stuff is thick and very, very durable. You have to put some muscle in it and score it 2-3 times before you will get it to start breaking for you. That is a good thing! I don't think there is much that will ever damage your floor. My mom has Armstrong Allure in her house and apart from it being the devil to lay (the sticky borders don't allow for ANY mistake or misalignment) she is an old woman who crochets all day and is super crazy gentle with all her things and this flooring wear layer is already peeling in places that she doesn't even walk! Same price as this amazing flooring! You will absolutely not be dissapointed in this flooring! I am totally and completely satisfied in every way and Floors to Your Home was very helpful with ALL my questions prior to ordering. Shipping was free and delivered right to my front door. Thank you so much for delivering me from my old, dirty carpeting!!
  • The service was excellent and my flooring arrived in perfect condition, very fast, by a very good delivery driver. My floors look beautiful. My dad and his wife installed the floor in my living room and a bedroom. Very impressed with the quality of the flooring. We used the 18 inch wide Supreme Elite Freedom Gold Luxury Loose Lay Flooring the color is Wall Street. I also appreciate talking to real people when I had questions. I only have one more thing to add to the review. My dad has experience with installations and we watched the video on u tube showing basic installation instructions and don't be fooled it's not as easy as they make it look if you have doorways, corners, closets that stick out. Several additional tools were used. This flooring is thick quality and not as easy to cut and snap like it looks in the video, but I am happy with everything about the company and my floor is gorgeous. Thanks for the great experience.
  • Have not purchased loose lay planking yet, but I intend to. Just what I'm looking for, since I have dogs. Best price I could find
  • This product is head and shoulders above any flooring we looked at, and we looked for over 2 years. Our first priority was a truly waterproof floor. NO other floor we found was waterproof. Just look at the aquarium test video and youll see. 2nd priority was the floor thickness. No other high quality floor was only 4-5 mills thick. They were 1/2, 5/8 or thicker leaving fairly high transitions between adjacent flooring. 3rd, the installation almost defies logic. How can a loose lay plank floor cover so well and protect? Watch the installation video, follow the directions and you are ready to go. We originally put it in our dining room and kitchen. After I ended up with a few extra boxes I was sold on using it downstairs on concrete in a study room. Now, every one of the 3 men who helped me will be using this flooring everywhere in their homes from living spaces, dining rooms to basements. 4th, it was so competitively priced compared to the warehouse best products it was a no brainer.

  • we are happy with our vinyl loose lay floor bamboo style. It's the perfect replacement for the laminate flooring we had to remove due to water back up. Easy enough for my husband and I to install ourselves.
  • I've laid two houses with loose lay throughout. It's easy to lay large areas and cutting planks to fit under door jam is the only thing that takes up your time. It's a product I highly recommend .
  • This product is FANTASTIC! The delivery was great, well packaged, wrapped in heavy plastic and crated. But still there were 2 damaged single planks that were on the top of the crate were torn in the middle, probably during shipping (I still used portions that were not damaged of these 2 planks). The installation is relatively easy, I recommend using double sided tape for vinyl flooring instead of glue in sections where the planks are not against a wall. The planks are very THICK, which I imagine will make them a more durable product but they are also a little more difficult to cut. The fact that they are loose lay vs the click tongue and groove planks makes it easier to change patterns and to install but also since there's no perfectly flat and straight floors/walls invariably there were small gaps (1/16th or smaller) on a few spots (resolved with colored caulking). By way of contrast the click planks are a little more work but require no gluing/taping, have no gaps between planks and are perfectly even. The end result is beautiful - all and all I prefer the loose lay vinyl over the click planks but just by a small margin. They are both great products. I would buy from FTYH again. The customer service at FTYH was GREAT! Very responsive to my chats, emails, and calls with my questions and requests. Thanks!
  • I purchased 2000 lbs of loose lay planks for our lower level. I installed them on top of concrete. They look beautiful. They were a perfect do it yourself project. I am now great at cutting them. I am so happy I was able to complete the whole project myself and save do much money. The 5mm planks are heavy and durable. So glad I found your company on the internet. All customer service reps were great especially the evening man I ordered from the floor from. I feel like a real pro having accomplished this task.
  • I moved into my new home with my husband and 2 boys (under the age of 5), dog and cat about 4 months ago. The family room carpet was a light beige/almost white - needless to say that didn't last long. I happened upon Floors to your Home during my initial investigation of what type of product to purchase. I was originally interested in the loose lay vinyl plank but as my family room is pretty large it was a bit out of my current desired price range (though when looking for this product elsewhere, Floors To Your Home was by far the least expensive - it was the product itself that was out of my current price range). I ended up going with the sheet vinyl in Mannington Sobella Prime Smoked Habanero. I did a live chat with a representative on the website who was very helpful to ensure I was ordering the correct amount - I knew that my room was just under 12ft in width (which I was very lucky with as the width of the roll is 12ft) and the length was then about 35 ft but was then a little confused as to how to order it in square footage - and was given the recommendation to purchase about a foot or so more just in case. I thought it would be about a week and a half or so until I received my order, but I ordered the product on a Sunday night and got it on Wednesday. Blew my mind how quick this order came in. When the product came to the house I was so happy that I decided to purchase this online with delivery to my house as opposed to going to a store because this product was very large and VERY HEAVY. I don't know how I would have transported it to my house. There was also some legit packaging around the product so there were no defects at all. Installation wasn't too bad for my husband and I - once again our room was just a little shorter than the width of the product so it was a pretty easy roll out - though we did have some initial issues with just maneuvering the heavy large roll and then getting the air bumps out however we gave up trying to make it perfect and now that it has settled a bit more we don't see any of the air bubbles any longer. When people come in they really think it is hard wood and I get to tell them, no it's basic sheet vinyl. My parents were very skeptical at first but when they saw it they commented on how far sheet vinyl has come because "back in their day" the quality wasn't close to what this was. All around very happy with the product and purchasing experience. I will definitely come back to Floors to Your Home for my next flooring project.
  • I got the loose lay luxury vinyl and it was a successful purchase...the floor is amazing; comfortable to walk in, quiet, just perfect! Thank you guys for a great product and wonderful costumer service; I recommend this company to anyone
  • First & foremost Floors To Your Home is a great company. The service was exemplary as was the pricing. We received several personal calls before & after delivery. We chose Loose Lay Vinyl for our kitchen & into the hallway of our Older home. We wanted vinyl for the kitchen(waterproof) & Loose Lay because we can easily exchange a new piece for a damaged one. And the installation looked simple. I found with installing Loose Lay the edges will not always meet-up perfectly unless the subfloor &/or underlayment is near perfect. And ours was nowhere near perfect. I even spent a considerable amount of time trying to smooth areas. For this reason we used double-stick tape for every plank! I wish we would've chosen vinyl click together. The long edges would've been locked in but would've still used tape on the end pieces. I believe Loose Lay would be ideal for a concrete floor or a newer home w/ truer floors. In closing I'd like to say that even with the amount of tape we used & some imperfections due to the subfloor/underlayment We love our new floor. It's gorgeous! It looks like real wood & we have gotten many compliments. But I strongly recommend click together for a floor that's not near perfect.
  • The loose lay vinyl planking came and the product was as good as we hoped for. A very precision product.
