We made a little demo video for a customer who was having issues starting the installation of a laminate floor. The need was immediate, so we shot it pretty quickly with a phone camera (sorry if the sound seems rough). The product in question uses an angle angle locking mechanism. In this video Adam addresses the hows and whys of
1. Getting the planks in perfect line-up on the first row.
2. Where to place yourself when doing the first few rows.
3. Why to leave the current row not fully engaged.
4. Previous planks popping out as you put new ones in place.
5. Direction of the boards as you start.
Now you should know that there area myriad of variations with laminate floor locking systems. This particular floor is a Vanilla Maple Timeless Elegance
product. Some of these tips may apply to yours, and some may not - you do need to check your specific instructions. But we know that those instructions can be a little dry too, so we wanted to share this with you in case it might help you sort out any issues.
Thanks for watching!
