This material is classified as B-Grade or Irregular Quality
Shaw's / US Floor's B-Grade products may have a defect or a missed specification. Dye lot variation, color defect, gloss level, and milling are all examples of defects. If a lot made today has a gloss level different from the specification, it cannot be mixed with a lot made last week, so it would be downgraded to B-Grade or Irregular. These products are sold as is.
Keep in mind, most of the time the manufacturer does not give us an explanation of why the product is classified as Irregular. Sometimes you will never see a difference between this product and the first quality product. Other times you may be some visual defect in the face of the pattern, it may be an isolated defect or it may continue through the whole carton. The manufacturer does gaurantee that the product will be installable, meaning it will install correctly on your subfloor and perform as a floor. Most of the time our customer's tell us that this is the greatest deal and greatest value for the money!
Tulum Hickory COREtec Plus Enhanced Plank has a Waterproof Polymer Core (WPC) that gives this pet and waterproof floor an extra rigid construction. A 30% thinner rigid core Tulum Hickory is 100% waterproof and will not swell under normal conditions. COREtec Plus Enhanced Plank Tulum Hickory is a favorite of contractors because of its affordability and because it can be installed over an existing floor. COREtec Plus Enhanced Plank has achieved certification for air quality. The large 7" x 48" x 8.0mm planks use the Angle Tap locking system for the easiest glue-free installation.
This stunning style is combined with a rigid core construction that easily withstands high-traffic residential or even commercial use. The rigid core features special top and bottom layers for stability, and is constructed from a high-density composition for extra rigidity, providing superior dent and impact resistance. Since COREtec is 100% waterproof, COREtec Plus floors can be installed in wet areas and will never swell when exposed to, or even submerged in water. COREtec is also dimensionally stable, so it will not expand or contract under normal conditions, and never needs expansion strips in large rooms. Each COREtec Plus plank or tile has an attached cork underlayment for a quieter, warmer vinyl floor that is naturally resistant to odor causing mold and mildew. Each plank is 48 inches long and 7 inches wide with 7.8 millimeter overall thickness. Each carton contains 25.68 square feet of flooring.
